PSEA to host Pa. Capitol rally urging lawmakers to support living wage for underpaid school support staff

HARRISBURG, PA – Hundreds of school support staff will join lawmakers and union allies on the steps of the State Capitol Tuesday, March 25, 2025, to advocate for legislation that ensures paraprofessionals, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, secretaries, and other support staff are paid a living wage of at least $20 per hour.

“Education support professionals are the unsung heroes of our public schools,” PSEA President Aaron Chapin said. “Their talent, dedication, and hard work are essential to the success of every student. They deserve to be paid a living wage that allows them to support themselves and provide for their families.”
