Eight future educators awarded Valero scholarships

Eight future educators awarded Valero scholarships

Voice: September 2017

Lucy Valero built PSEA’s student program into one of the strongest in the nation, and her legacy continues to financially aid future educators through the Lucy A. Valero Scholarship Fund. Four college students and four high school students are recipients this year.

Student PSEA winners, each receiving a $2,500 scholarship, are:

Adam Moskowitz, Duquesne University
Leah Bartos, Duquesne University
Marie Hutchings, Kutztown University
Haley Whitman, Slippery Rock University

High school students receiving $500 scholarships are:

Juli Thomas, Blackhawk High School
Christopher Lisle, Keystone Oaks High School
Mallory Forney, Annville-Cleona High School
Matthew Smith, North Pocono High School
