Pursuant to the PSEA Policy Manual, prior to the December PSEA House of Delegates, notice of the offices to be elected at the next annual meeting shall be published in Voice and the online version of Voice.
Prior to adjournment of the December 2017 PSEA House of Delegates, the president will announce the names of members who submit a Statement of Intent to be a candidate. Statements must be filed by 8 p.m. on the opening day of the December 2017 PSEA House of Delegates.
Campaigning and distribution of campaign materials may not begin prior to adjournment of the December 2017 PSEA House of Delegates. However, written invitations for hospitality may be circulated among members during the final business session of the December 2017 PSEA House of Delegates.
Pursuant to Article IV Paragraph 5 of the PSEA Constitution, a special election will be conducted at the May 2018 PSEA House of Delegates to fill the remainder of the term through August 31, 2019 for PSEA Vice President and PSEA Treasurer.
The following positions will be elected at the May 2018 PSEA House of Delegates:
Vice President (Remainder of term through August 31, 2019) One Position
Treasurer (Remainder of term through August 31, 2019) One Position
PSEA Pension Plan Director (Three-year term) One Position
NEA State Director (Three-year term) Three Positions
NEA Alternate State Director (One-year term) Seven Positions
