Gov. Wolf's education budget: By the numbers

Voice: March 2017

Gov. Tom Wolf inherited a school funding crisis, and he's made it a top priority to fix it. That is evident in his proposed 2017-18 budget, which makes key investments in K-12 education and school breakfast programs for needy students.

The plan includes increases of $100 million for basic education, $75 million for early childhood programs, $25 million for special education, and $2 million for school breakfast programs, which will draw down additional federal dollars. This graphic illustrates just how far Pennsylvania has come in restoring school funding during Gov. Wolf's tenure in office.
