Student Conference 

Registration for the 2020 Student PSEA Conference and Convention is now open.

This is the most exciting event for aspiring educators – you won’t want to miss it!

This year’s conference will be held at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie on April 2-4. Our theme is, “Illuminating a Brighter Future.”

At the conference, you’ll hear from inspiring educators who are changing the lives of their students. Our keynote speaker will be Pennsylvania’s Second Lady Gisele Barreto Fetterman.

Outreach to Teach Service Project 

This year’s Outreach to Teach Service Project will be held at the Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary School in Erie City School District. We are working within one building to focus on the beautification projects that we will create a more encouraging and fun learning environment. We are also going to help the students and community renovate and stock a “Caring Closet” with items such as sweatshirts, polos, khakis, toiletries, and other essentials. Information including items needed are on the newly created flyer Caring Closet Needs Flyer.

Through a variety of elected leadership positions you can enact your own change in your association and strengthen yourself for a future as a professional educator.

Let’s reduce student loan debt

One of PSEA’s top priorities this year is to reduce student loan debt. That’s why this is part of the Association’s RESPECT initiative. 

College graduates in Pennsylvania have the second highest student loan debt in the nation, averaging $37,061 for members of the graduating class of 2018. This burden costs young educators $200 to $300 a month and presents a real barrier to attracting new educators to the profession.
