Stipend demand > available funding

With $10 million budgeted in this year’s state budget, only 750 stipends are available for the 2024-25 school year. That’s why PSEA has made getting $75 million for student teacher stipends in the FY 2024-25 state budget a top legislative priority.

Help us show lawmakers and Gov. Josh Shapiro that every student teacher should get a stipend.

If you haven’t applied for a student teacher stipend yet, and if you are student teaching in the fall of 2024 or spring of 2025, submit your stipend application TODAY.

Apply at www.pheaa.org/studentteacher. Please have the following information ready that is required on your stipend application:

• Your legal and valid contact information including full name, address, and Social Security number,
• The name of the college or university where you are enrolled in a teacher preparation program, and
• The anticipated term you plan to student teach (fall of 2024 or spring of 2025).

You must be logged in to your PHEAA account to submit an application. Don't have a PHEAA account? Create one immediately.
