Fabric of Unionism Art Competition

2024 Fabric of Unionism Awards

**Fabric of Unionism will be accepting new entries in the 2025-26 school year. Stay tuned for details in future PSEA publications on how and when to participate.**

What you need to know:

  • Two contests, one for members and one for their students.
  • Prizes for each contest include a Grand Prize of $1000, a Second Prize of $500, and a Third Prize of $250.

To increase awareness of the labor movement, its historical importance, and the need for it to grow in the future, PSEA holds the Jenifer J. DuBois Fabric of Unionism art competition every two years for PSEA members and students.

Fabric of Unionism started in 1997 and was renamed in 2000 in memory of Jenifer J. DuBois, a founding member of the project. DuBois was a teacher and local leader in the Central Region.

Congratulations to the winners of the last round of competition!

How It Works

Prizes for each contest include a Grand Prize of $1000, a Second Prize of $500 and a Third Prize of $250.

FOU winners in the news

"The story of America’s labor movement is a powerful one, and what better way to tell it than with art?

"That is what about a dozen Pennsylvania educators and students did with their award-winning artwork in this year’s Jennifer J. DuBois Fabric of Unionism Art Competition, hosted by the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
