Education support professionals are the spokes that turn the wheels of public schools.
They are bus drivers, cafeteria workers, classroom aides, paraprofessionals, custodians, building and grounds employees, secretaries, administration assistants, security service personnel, and others.
“Our public schools could not operate without ESPs,’’ said PSEA Treasurer Jeff Ney. “National ESP Day appropriately shines the spotlight on their vital roles. But they stand out every day – providing transportation, serving meals, assisting teachers and administrators, and keeping schools clean and safe.’’
PSEA joins NEA in honoring these amazing professionals on National ESP Day on Nov. 15.
