Senior Director of Human Resources (Talent Acquisition/HR Generalist)
PSEA is seeking a dynamic Senior Director to join our Human Resources Division in Harrisburg and drive talent acquisition efforts that reflect our values of equity, respect, unionism and integrity. You will lead the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
This senior level position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Responsibilities include developing and actually performing the recruitment related Human Resources functions. This position will secondarily serve as a human resources generalist, assisting with all employee benefits, leave management, employee and labor relations tasks as directed.
Essential, required competencies include excellent organization and technical skills interpersonal /EI/EQ skills appropriate for a human resources division, excellent oral and written communication skills, tact in handling confidential information and, the ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks.
Minimum requirements for consideration include: An advanced degree in human resources or related field; or, HRCI and/or SHRM certification; or, a minimum of five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.

PSEA is seeking a Staff Associate/Secretary to work in our New Castle office. This position provides administrative support to field staff and helps ensure that the operations of the office run efficiently. This position serves as a hub of activity including clerical support, data entry, scheduling, ordering office supplies, paying invoices, and coordinating building maintenance.
Candidates must have strong skills in Microsoft Office; excellent verbal & written communication; organization skills; people skills.
This position includes comprehensive benefits including generous paid leave, employer paid medical insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. The starting salary for this position is $66k.

PSEA is looking to fill TWO full-time, temporary attorney positions. The Associate Staff Counsel positions will be in Harrisburg and Allentown and extend for two years, with a possible third year. Both positions are available now, but PSEA would also consider candidates available for an August 2025 start date.
The Associate Staff Counsel positions are similar to a labor and/or education law clerkship. The attorney will perform legal research and writing and provide litigation support to PSEA Staff Attorneys. In addition, the attorney will support the PSEA Legal Division in advising PSEA, its local affiliates, and members in matters of statewide and organizational significance. Interested applicants should have an interest in labor and/or education law, have strong legal research and writing skills, and be able to analyze complex legal issues and prepare legal memoranda, briefs and pleadings as assigned by the attorneys. These individuals must also have self-supporting computer skills.
PSEA is looking for someone who is willing to make a two-to-three-year commitment. Candidates welcome to apply would be a 3L or attorneys beginning their career.
Admission to the PA Bar is preferred for consideration for this position and is required after the first admission date after employment. This position would potentially work remotely up to two days per week.
