Tell lawmakers to pass a School Code bill this week

We need your help.

State lawmakers are scheduled to be in voting session in Harrisburg for just one week before the new year. And they need to pass a key bill to fund community colleges, new student teacher stipends, and mental health programs for public school students, as well as extend the Act 91 substitute teacher flexibility provisions.

Contact your state senator and state representative RIGHT NOW and let them know how urgent it is for them to pass a bipartisan School Code bill to fund community colleges, student teacher stipends, and public school mental health programs. Click the button below to contact your legislator and to learn more about why this is so urgent.

December House of Delegates wrap-up

PSEA held its biannual House of Delegates last week, which was the first under the gavel of President Aaron Chapin.

Delegates approved eight New Business Items, heard detailed reports on the Association’s successes, challenges, and financial outlook from the new officer team, saw spotlights of members doing great things in their schools and communities, and were even treated to a moving traditional dance performance following the Land Acknowledgment from Rachelle J. Bersamina Murphy of South Park EA.

The officer team also fielded its first Committee of the Whole where the officers asked for feedback from delegates on ways to improve and evolve PSEA’s leadership.
